Description of Position: The Clinical Neuropsychology Service (CNS) at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, McMaster University is pleased to announce a position for 1 neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship opening for the 2-year 2023-2025 academic cycle.
This individual will join our current two year fellows. Our service provides consultation, assessment and intervention to a wide range of adult inpatient and outpatient populations within the context of an academic healthcare and hospital setting. The fellow will work with adult and geriatric patients with neurological diseases and disorders, complex psychiatric and cognitive disorders, and general medical conditions through a number of rotations and intervention programming. Participation in weekly structured rounds and didactics (e.g., Psychiatry Grand Rounds, Mental Health and Addiction Rounds, Joint Geriatric-Neuropsychology didactics, and other hospital service clinic rounds) and team-based research is expected.
The SJHH postdoctoral program in Clinical Neuropsychology provides access to multidisciplinary medical education and training opportunities that include didactics and direct patient contact, as well as interactions with other residents in medical specialties and allied health professions. Competence and understanding of ethical standards and professional practice relevant to cultural and individual differences and diversity in the practice of psychology and neuropsychology are emphasized.

Position Description: The Department of Psychology at the University of Guelph invites applications from exceptional candidates for a tenure-track position in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (CCAP) at the Assistant Professor level. The distribution of effort for this position is expected to be 70% Teaching (including Clinical Supervision), 10% Research, and 20% Service. The CCAP area administers a highly competitive Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) accredited clinical training program. This faculty member will be expected to provide clinical supervision to graduate students, teach one or more graduate level courses, contribute service to the graduate program, and support clinical research.
This position is based in our new on-campus clinic, Maplewoods Centre for Family Therapy and Child Psychology. Maplewoods Centre is an innovative interdisciplinary clinical training centre which is also home to the Couple and Family Therapy program. CCAP students complete practica at Maplewoods Centre throughout their clinical training. Core practicum experiences include intake, conducting integrated psychological assessments (including cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning), and providing evidence-based intervention and consultation for children and adolescents. The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for clinical teaching and supervision in all aspects of our training program. Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience supervising integrated psychological assessments and broad training in intervention modalities.
Strong consideration will be given to applicants who show strengths in innovative, equity-informed, and engaging teaching pedagogies and clinical supervision practices. Affiliated with the Dean of Students’ Health & Wellness Services at the University of Alberta, Counselling & Clinical Services (CCS) invites applications for the continuing position of Registered Psychologist. Reporting to the Director of CCS, the Registered Psychologist is accountable for the provision of individual and group psychotherapy to a diverse post-secondary population. The candidate will be comfortable operating within a short-term therapy framework and working with a wide range of mental health challenges and with a great diversity of client identities. The Psychologist provides clinical supervision to Doctoral psychology residents and Master’s practicum students. They contribute some outreach/consultation services to the broader university community. This position works within an interdisciplinary team environment composed of psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, Doctoral Residents and Masters Practicum students, social workers, and administrative support staff. Some early evening work is involved.
