SickKids Neuropsychologist (4 yr contract; 22.5 hrs/week)

We are currently looking for a Neuropsychologist to join the department of Psychology to assess and diagnose cognitive, behavioural, and social-emotional problems associated with developmental and neurological conditions and disorders within the context of the child's developmental history and family functioning. The neuropsychologist will primarily work with school-age children and adolescents with a variety of complex medical conditions in the areas of neurology (e.g. epilepsy, inflammatory syndromes, stroke), hematology/oncology, genetics/metabolics and cardiology.

Here’s What You’ll Get To Do:

  • Work collaboratively as a member of the health care team.
  • Complement and extend the health care team's ability to meet the psychosocial needs of the child and family.
  • Provide feedback to families and clinic teams.
  • Write reports with recommendations.
  • Design and carry out neuropsychological assessments in order to relate current cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning to a child’s neurodevelopmental, medical/neurological history.
  • Collaborate with a large and diverse inter-professional health care team.
  • Integrate research and practice.
