Psychology Positions at The Ottawa Hospital

The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is hiring psychologists.   TOH is a dynamic and innovative environment that delivers patient-centred care through inter-professional collaborations.  This multi-campus organization is one of Canada’s largest Academic Health Sciences Centres and is affiliated with the University of Ottawa. The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI) is nationally recognized as a leader in health research.


TOH Psychologists are part of an accomplished, collegial and vibrant group of Psychology staff, who are actively involved in clinical service, research, teaching and training.  TOH Psychology has a CPA accredited predoctoral internship program in Clinical Psychology. Psychologists also have academic appointments with the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa and supervise doctoral level practicum students.  Psychologists are provided opportunity to participate in professional development opportunities, including TOH Psychology Lunch and Learn activities.  Early career psychologists at TOH can participate in a mentorship group.  As highly valued members of the TOH team, Psychologists are often involved in program and corporate initiatives to enhance patient care. 

We have a great compensation package and provide clinical supervision until licensed for autonomous practice.

Psychologist –Viral Hepatitis Program - Part-time

Job Number 91647

The Ottawa Hospital Viral Hepatitis Program psychologist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, consultation, and treatment for outpatients throughout the cascade of hepatitis care.  The program provides services to hepatitis C infected populations in the Eastern Ontario region on site, in the community and virtually.  Opportunities exist for program evaluation, program development, group therapy and research.

This position is 2 days per week (0.40 FTE)

Psychologist –On Track: The Champlain First Episode Psychosis Program – Full-time

Job Number 95795On Track is a voluntary, rehabilitative program that provides care for people who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis or early symptoms of a possible psychotic illness.  The program is community-based, located at 1355 Bank StreetThe psychologist works closely with the care team to provide assessment, consultation, individual and group treatment to outpatients of On Track.   

This position is 5 days a week (1.0 FTE).

Psychologist- Psychosocial Oncology Program (PSOP) – Part time

Job Number 97795

PSOP provides emotional, psychological, social, practical and rehabilitation support to patients with cancer.   The psychologist provides assessment, treatment and consultation services for outpatients of PSOP with a specific, but not exclusive focus on AYA (adolescents and young adults, age 18-39) throughout their treatment trajectory.

 This position is 2 days a week (0.4 FTE) with flexibility to work virtually.

Psychologist- Pain Clinic -Part time

Job Number 98268

The Pain Medicine Unit is an outpatient interdisciplinary program with a stepped-care approach to treating individuals with chronic pain.

The psychologist provides assessment, treatment (group and individual) and consultation for adult outpatients with co-morbid pain and psychological issues. 

This position is 4 days a week (0.8 FTE).
