SickKids I-InTERACT-North Program Therapist

The I-InTERACT-North program, directed by Dr. Tricia Williams at The Hospital for Sick Children, is recruiting new therapists! I-InTERACT-North is virtual positive parenting program for families of SickKids patients (age 3-9) with neurological, neurodevelopmental, or medical complexities. Applicants must be located in Ontario and should be clinicians registered with the CPO or OCSWSSW, or trainees in an accredited program. The minimum commitment is approximately 3 direct hours per week for 18 months and must include some evenings and weekends. Hours can be put toward accreditation; there may be opportunities for paid positions for licensed professionals and future funded opportunities for students/trainees.

The NeuroOutcomes lab is seeking enthusiastic individuals to deliver an online parenting skills training program (I-InTERACT-North) for children at the Hospital for Sick Children with medical or neurodevelopmental conditions that impact brain development.

About the Role: As a therapist, you will be matched to families and support them through implementing their learnings from the e-modules via virtual therapy sessions. Successful applicants will be trained by current therapists and supervised longitudinally for fidelity and peer support. Hours can be put towards accreditation. Training and supervision are included. There may be opportunities for paid positions for licensed professionals and future funded opportunities for students/trainees.

Who should apply:  Individuals working in Ontario who are trainees from accredited institutions, clinicians registered or in the process of registering with the College of Psychologists of Ontario or College of Social Work and Social Service Work with a willingness and comfort in doing behavioural treatments (i.e. giving commands and following treatment scripts). Those willing to follow families (with initial supervision) over the next 18 months, with sessions offered on evenings & weekends.
